Hey!

I'm a happy diva cup user... but lately, I've been noticing that I'm having issues peeing with it in. My pee comes out much slower and I fell like I have to really force it out. In order to get it all out, I've had to take my cup out. This was particularly annoying when I went out last night, and had to pee multiple times (darn alcohol!) and had to keep taking it out in a gross public bathroom! I read up on some of the posts about this, and tried to stick it higher up like suggested, but got a MAJOR leak (first leak EVER) when I did!

Any suggestions? I don't want to have to resort to tampons when going out to avoid this problem. I would rather find a way to work with the cup.

Thanks ladies!

I have the same problem. No solution however. I find though that this fullness-plugged up sensation ONLY happens on my heaviest day, where I seem to need to take the filled cup out more often (like every 3-4 hrs) than other days (8-14 hrs).

I find that if I push the cup up and pull the base forward toward my pubic bone (thus pulling the rim of the cup away from the urethra) right before I start urinating, I have an easier time. Then I just reposition it when I'm done. I also find that if I try to go before my bladder is really full, it's easier. The longer I wait, the harder it is to pee.

It is all about positioning. Once it's in, try to angle it backwards-ish - like with your finger, slide in alongside the front of it and move the front rim back.

This might be kind of weird, but I take advantage of the pressure and use the cup to help me pee. I started doing it because I noticed the cup would slide out and I was afraid it would actually fall out into the toilet. So, I just push the cup inwards, against where my muscles want to take it, and the urine comes out pretty quickly. I make sure I wash my hands first, or just pee on them a little since, hey, if you use this method you're gonna get wet anyway. It seems to make more come out than usual, but maybe that's an illusion. You can wipe your hands with toilet paper afterwards. Ok so, this is weird. But I bet I'm not the only one! :\

knot sure I made the right choice
After so many testimonials from friends, I finally made the investment and bought a Divacup, but I find it really really uncomfortable!!! I don't feel like I have a problem inserting it; it feels like the suction holds, but my whole nervous system is irritated and pained by it and it seems like it's slowly sliding down. I've given it 2 tries and removed it after about 5-10 minutes, unable to bear the discomfort any more. Maybe it's a muscular issue ( I have had 2 children and maybe need to do some kiegels exercises. I want to make it work for me. Any suggestions/advice would be welcome
