Help! It's been 4 months and I still can't insert my Diva-Cup.11

I bought the Diva Cup about 4 months ago because I'd heard all of these glowing reviews about it. I used it during my next period and I found that inserting it the U-shaped way was really difficult. I really struggled to get it in because it was too wide and too hard to manipulate, I thought the silicone was going to be thinner or softer, and it wound up hurting. So I struggled for about 15 min with it and I finally was able to get in, but then I wasn't really able to rotate it 360 as the instructions stated. So I wound up with leaks. I took it out but removing it wound up hurting worse than inserting it, because I didn't know how to release the air from the cup, the suction was horrible and I seriously thought that I was going to rip my vagina off. I was going to try to re-insert it the next day but I was still somewhat sore and traumatized from the first try. So I decided not to.

So I didn't touch it for two months after that. I tried again on my last cycle and I couldn't get it in. Today I found this journal and the different methods of folding and I feel like I have a chance of getting it to work now. I tried the punch down method a few minutes ago, and I still can't seem to get the entire rim in. My problem is always that I can get most of one side in but the other side will always open up on me, and the pain ensues after that,. I really am so clueless when it comes to this, so can someone tell me how to get this thing in.  I don't know how to get the rim in, which angle (if any)  to push it in, if I'm supposed to do this quickly or slowly (when I did get in that one time it, it took about 5 min), and how I can remove it painlessly.  I'd like to try the oragami style but it seems really complicated.

I really think this will be one of the best things I can do for my body and the environment, I just need someone to help me. Thanks in advance.
