Question Regarding Insertion

I've been using the Diva Cup for four or five months now, and I really like it. However, it's been a bear to get the thing to open once it's inside. I can't twirl it, but I usually insert, then partially remove it to get it to pop open and then wriggle it back in. This all works well enough the first couple days of my period, but by the third or fourth day, when my flow is much lighter, I can't get it to pop open at all. I've been thinking about getting a Lunette, because I'm concerned about my flow being too heavy for a Mooncup UK and it seems both these cups open more easily than the Diva. I'm just a little worried about having the same problem on the lighter days with the Lunette that I currently have with the Diva. Has this happened to anyone else, or does anyone have suggestions for which cup is easiest to insert correctly on lighter days? Thanks!
