first use of divacup and messy removal

after looking through the memories on this site and seeing all the pros of menstrual cups i bought one back in july and today was my very first use of it on my period since i had used it before without my period. i recently joined LJ and this community so i'm kind of confussed with what livejournal is supposed to be, but anyway, thats not the point. when i recieved my divacup i immediately went to try it on. i eventually got it in but i noticed that when i removed it i squished the cup so much and i thought that it would be a problem since when i would be on my period the cup would be full. when i went to empty the cup today, what i suspected happened. i squished the cup so much that all the blood came pouring out and i couldnt use the measuring feature as i was hoping to. how do you guys manage to get the cup out steadily without spilling the blood everywhere? and another thing (this questions is concerning LJ), when i post something on this community or another community will everyone be able to see what i posted when they go to my page or will they only be able to see what i posted in that certain community?
