hello, i am new to this community and new to menstrual cups - just finished my second cycle with new Diva cup. thanks to this community i think i am getting the hang of it but still working out a few more issues with leaks.

as far as cleaning, i read a lot of posts here and decided to try an old 'recipe' for cleaning on my cup - so far it works great and made it look as good as new:
i put the Diva cup in a large glass (or mug) with 1/3 distilled white vinegar, then add boiling water from the kettle until glass is filled to about 1 inch from the top. then add a few teaspoons of baking soda a *little* at a time - it will fizz and bubble like crazy when you add just a 1/8 -1/4 tsp. i keep adding baking soda, let it fizz, when the fizz fizzles out, i sprinkle in more baking soda until i've added about 3 tsps. then let it soak for about 1/2 hour more.

this is very inexpensive, and does a good job cleaning. its ph friendly and leaves no residue, its good for getting odors out as well.
