Moi (christhiane) wrote in menstrual_cups,

I got both my Mooncup UK and my period today. First time I tried it on it was uncomfortable getting it in and the stem was making it impossible to move without pain. I took it out, which hurt, and cut the stem. On my second try everything went ok until I was going to remove it. I am quite sure I got the seal open, but pulling it out through the last muscle hurt very much. A little sore, I still put it back in. However, it seems like the cup repositioned itself because suddenly the stem seemed to be poking rather painfully at the front of in my vagina and it had started leaking. When I was going to remove it, I had some difficulty breaking the seal and I kept pinching my flesh instead of just the cup. I got it after about a couple of minutes and now it hurt even worse trying to get it past that final muscle. It's been two and a half hours and it's still hurting. I'm wearing a pad now.

I am a virgin and can't usually get much more than two fingers - 2 cm in diameter - in comfortably.

I was wondering if anyone's got any similar problems (I tried checking tags/memories) and if they could give me any information about whether or not this problem is likely to persist? I am planning on trying again, though. Only, I want to be completely comfortable for my reading of the Harry Potter book tomorrow.
