About the fullness, though: any thoughts on getting a Lunette (i.e., a bigger capacity cup)? For several months, I had a much heavier flow--thank god for nasty-tasting Chinese herbal medicine--so I guess I just started thinking of my current flow as normal and average. But I started leaking after ~6 hours today (admittedly my heaviest day) and ~8 hours yesterday, and I really was hoping to go longer between emptying-and-reinsertion. And while this'll be less of a big deal if / when I get used to it, I'll admit that I really hated having to mess with my cup in the middle of the day in a public place. Lots of people here seem to be able to get through the day without worrying about their flow, and I'd really prefer that. To be perfectly honest, I'm a little (and completely irrationally) pissed off that I haven't gotten that with the Mooncup.
Does getting a Lunette seem like a decent investment under these circumstances? (Or conversely, is the need to empty-and-reinsert three or four times a day more common than I apparently think it is?) And is the capacity of the Lunette really that much more than my Mooncup UK (Model B), or does it look like I'm looking for a cup with such limitless capacity that I'll be disappointed with no matter what cup I get? I'd also love to hear from those--I think there are a few, from reading the memories--who use a Lunette specifically on their heavy days while using a different cup on their lighter ones. I don't really have any complaints about the Mooncup besides the (again, somewhat irrational) issue above, so I think that might be me, if your comments / experiences don't discourage me from becoming a dual-cup user in the future.
And two last tangentially related questions:
- Any tips on removing the cup without releasing any of the contents into the toilet first? I've been interested on measuring how much blood I actually lose, and some has always come out of the cup before I can hold it up so far.
- And could one reason I'm overflowing some quickly have more to do with weak pelvic muscles than with a heavy flow? Would kegels or Smartballs or something help?
As always, thanks in advance. This would be a much more complicated and nerve-wracking experience were it not for all your help.
