Done with the Diva

Well, I got my period for the second time this month (the first was last week and so faint that I didn't need anything, maybe just some breakthrough bleeding). Getting off the patch makes your body act in strange ways. Anyway, I boiled my DivaCup and decided to use it. I used what I think is the punch down fold while sitting on the toilet. It went in fine, but wonder of all wonders, it didn't open all the way. I tried it again, this time squatting in the shower, and the same thing happened. I was able to get my fingers inside and go all the way up to the rim. I twisted it, squeezed it, bore down and no luck. Now I'm sore and I've had enough. I'm through with the Diva once and for all. I don't have the patience for this. However, I'm still interested in using a cup, since disposable pads (I've never tried cloth) smel and are discusting and tampons dry me out. Can anyone please tell me the differences between the other cups? I don't want to waste another $30. Is the Mooncup really easier to open? Is it more flexible? What is the difference between the Mooncup and the Mooncup UK? I'm going to try the Insteads, but the problem there is that even if they're great, they're disposable and expensive from what I've heard. Still, if they work for me and if I hear the other cups are like the Diva, perhaps I'll stay with the Insteads. Sorry for the negativity here, I'm just annoyed. Please, to any newbies, don't decide not to buy the DivaCup just because of my experience. It may be the best thing for you. It's just not for me.
