A New Idea for Cups

Hi girls. I need your opinion on something. I came up with this while lying in bed. One of my main problems with the Diva Cup is that it just won't open properly for me. At least, not consistantly. I'm thinking of trying another brand. But what if you could get a cup that you didn't have to fold? What if it were flexible and easy to insert and remove? What I'm imagining is an inflatible cup. I call it the Balloon Cup. The lip of the cup would be curved slightly inward so that when it closed, the blood wouldn't squirt back into the woman using it. This would make it either flat or tapered at the top when closed. The user would put it in while in this position, pump it up to it's full size and go. It would have a valve of some kind at the bottom that would release air and a small detachable pump that would inflate it. I've also thought of a sort of umbrella mechanism in which you'd push on the bottom of the cup to get it to open and pull on it to get it to close, or lips that you'd pull to open the cup and squeeze to close it, but those seemed too complicated. The next thing I thought of was material. I'm not any kind of scientist, so I'm not sure what's out there, but it would have to be something strong, safe and easy to clean. I'm thinking perhaps the kind of rubber that's used to make inflatable pool toys, only a higher grade, might do the trick. If you don't want to clean the lining, perhaps there could be temporary ones that you could buy and they could be put in place with the rubber lip at the top of the cup. Just throwing out some ideas here. Any suggestions, hints or input would sincerely be appreciated. If I get the go-ahead from this community and I see that there's a need for it, I'm going to try to patent and market this. I personally think it has great potential and might even get more people interested in the idea of menstrual cups. Anyway, thanks.
