Light flow + cleaning

I've just started using my new Mooncup (day two now) and - like many, it seems, this is a great community! - I'm having trouble with cleaning after removal. I've had a look through the memories and haven't found anything about light flow, though.

I share a flat, and the toilet's separate from the main bathroom so doesn't have a sink. The problem is that my flow is very light, and so when I empty the cup into the loo there's a lot more "sticky", mucous-y blood than plain liquid! (Sorry, not very nice I know.) So it's messy, needs wiping, gets all over my fingers and is generally a pain, as I want to rinse it properly - thankfully I've had the courage to take it into the main bathroom and do so. But I won't be able to do this at work (I'm a teacher).

So, given that my flow is very light - after eight hours, not quite 6ml - does anyone know if it's all right to leave the cup in for longer? I'm sure I could manage to rinse it twice a day at home. Also, if anyone has any tips for cleaning stickyness that would be great.

Thank you!
