Stubborn Cup and an Impatient User

There are times when my DivaCup works nicely. But even then, it takes a few tries to get it in. This time, I got out of the shower and tried it twice with the c fold and it just wouldn't open all the way and I got fed up and just pulled it out. I'm really starting to reconsider cups. I bought mine because I thought that the tampons were drying me out (could've been the patch cause now I'm back to normal) and because I didn't like how even with the tampons, my underwear got wet. Plus, I never liked the long strings and the expense, since mine were organic and cost more than the average ones. But at least, they were easier to get in, and I used ones with applicators most times, so that helped. I don't feel that I'll ever be able to go somewhere and just bring my cup without a backup because it takes at least ten minutes to get it in and my patience is extremely low when I have my period. But I'm willing to give this another try. I do like the way menstrual cups work, so if I can get passed all of this, it would be great. Is there something easier (and smaller) to use than the Divacup? I decided to go with silicone because I hear laitex is porus and more difficult to clean in general, but if the Keeper really is better than the other silicone cups, I'll consider it. Thanks.
