I bought a box of Insteads because I eventually want to purchase a DivaCup and wanted to do the whole trial-cup thing first just to see how it was. I was really excited about getting the Insteads and right away I wanted to put one in.
I immediately had issues. To elaborate: it felt like it was stretching me inside quite a bit, would not stay behind my pubic bone, and removal was rather painful. I was worried mostly about the pain from the removal as I had heard how comfortable it was (though I could feel it the entire time unlike what others had said) and I thought maybe I had inserted it wrong. I read their site over again, watched videos, and then I ran across the sizing issue. Apparently, according to them, my vagina is smaller than others. Which means, the cup cannot properly fit me (it's a bit too large) and that's why I've had some issues.
This really has bothered me and I feel abnormal now (it does repeat quite a bit how it fits majority of women and only very few women cannot use the product). But ANYWAY...what I eventually wanted to ask is...
Has anyone else had this problem but was able to use the DivaCup?
I've heard it's made differently and isn't as large and I'm still really hoping I can use it.
I cannot use tampons (I put one in and pass out...then after waking from it I keep passing out until I remove it...I assume it's just too large to keep in? I don't know) and sex with my boyfriend still uncomfortable/painful but I get over it.
