I had NEVER heard of menstrual cups until I stumbled upon them while surfing the internet just a few months ago!!
(I am 35 years old and have 1 child, my flow is light because I am on the pill.)

Yes I own the following cups: Mooncup UK size A, Diva-both sizes, Lunette, Keeper size A, and Moon Cup by Keeper (U.S.) size A..

Why do I own them all?

Stiff/Soft and Ease of Opening
I'm also perplexed about the stiff/soft qualities of the cups and the effect it has on ease of opening the cup. You say in your review that the Mooncup UK opens up easy but is really soft and yet the Diva, which is soft too doesn't open up that easy (for me at least). I always thought that my Lunette opened up easier than my Diva because it was stiffer but maybe that logic is incorrect?

Re: Stiff/Soft and Ease of Opening
The Mooncup UK and the Lunette are both MUCH easier for me to open than the Diva. Note that the Mooncup UK and the Lunette both have larger air holes than the Diva which may be why they open easier.... All of the cups are shaped a little differently too which may be why some are easier to open than others. In my experience, the stiffness/softness of the cup was not what made them easier to open as the Diva is the only cup that I repeatedly had trouble opening and it is neither the stiffest or the softest. Hope this helps!

Re: Stiff/Soft and Ease of Opening
Thanks fellow night owl :-)

I guess it's the hole size and super suction of the Diva that makes it difficult to open sometimes.

Question: when you did the water capacity test, do you remember how much the Diva smaller size and Diva larger size could hold right before the holes? I ask because the Divacup website claims that it holds 1 ounce but I don't understand how this could be the case since I just did an informal water test with my smaller Divacup and Lunette and the Lunette seemed to hold slightly more water up to the holes than my Diva.

Linking to this site is a great way to spread the word on menstrual cups and the more women that know about them the better!

Re: thank you!
I thought these were a joke and then I read up on them and even purchased one. I find it really good and have no trouble with removing it at all. It also saves money as I no longer have to buy costly Tampons If you believe all you read these towels and tampons pose a risk as the materials used in them are not body friendly so by using the menstrual cup I have eliminated this risk. shipping to the US
January 28th, 13:46
I have been researching the different cups on the market, and have been most impressed with the Mooncup UK. Having finally reached a decision, I went happily online to make my purchase. But... :-( I am not able to find ANY website that will ship to the US. What is that all about?! Has anyone else had any luck finding a supplier on this side of the Atlantic? Thanks!

What size lunette did you get? I assume it's the smaller one but I just want to verify. I got the size 1 diva but I think it's a little too big or who knows what but it creates a little too much pressure. I had 1 child (now 1) so I'm surprised that I'm still "tight" for the smaller diva. I also have a moderate/heavy flow so I think the lunette would be a good step for now (: thanks! Hope you reply back even though it's been years lol
