So I'm nearly 15 weeks post partum and had some spotting so thought I'd practice using my cup again. Pre baby I was using the large Fleur and it was great, but now my cervix seems a lot lower! I had already trimmed the stem almost totally off and using the cup when fully in it's almost sticking out when I sit down!

Has anyone experienced a lower cervix after having a baby and it's gone back up over time or do I need to find a shorter cup??

Also, anyone who uses a cup with an IUD, do I need to do anything other than make sure I've definitely broken the seal before I start removing the cup? Got my first IUD recently and it's making me nervous!

It's perfectly normal for everything to be hanging low after a pregnancy. The good news is that it doesn't take much to regain muscle tone -- but you have to work at it, it won't just go back on its own.

Google for lower abdominal muscle exercises. Do squats for your butt muscles. And kegel, kegel, kegel. (They're all related.) There is a section on pelvic floor strength at the tail end of https://kuradi8.livejournal.com/ Tools and toys (whether you kegel alone or with a partner) are available online, even Amazon.

Your large Fleur has a very good reputation for being a "Mommy cup." It's soft, blunt and high capacity with a comfy stem. Get your insides back into shape to use it.

PS - Congrats on your growing family.

Thanks! I'll definitely look into exercises and try to keep up the kegels!!

I can only speak about the iud part. I just break the seal before pulling it out and have never experienced any problems.
