Hey theFor a long time, I've been wanting to give it a try with menstrual cups, so I bought the DivaCup. This is my first time using it, and like the third day of wearing it. I always clean my hands and the cup with the kind of soap it recommends and even boiled it for 5 minutes before usjng it. I accidentally slept in it for 14 hours, and when I took it out, it had some white stuff on the holes it has. I inmediatly cleaned it, stored it, and went back to using a pad because Im worried on what could it be. Has anyone gone through the same? What could have caused that? What do you recommend to me?

The holes of my cup are discolored and look by far the sirtiest. Do the spots look like water spots or discoloration or dirt? If so, just clean it and pop it back in

It looked more like dirt. I cleaned it and it went away, but still got kinda scared since its the first time using one.

I sometimes get vaginal discharge in the holes of my cup, and it is a different color than my menstrual fluid. Sometimes it's white. Maybe it could be that?

This is what I thought of when I read this post. I often get white, sticky discharge around the outside and in the holes on my cup.
