Hi everybody. I am new in this community although I have read it for a while.

I need some low key urgent help.

I have a mini menstrual cup, and it is the first cycle I am using the cup. Insertion was always tough, with removal being worse (I guess I have a tilted cervix or smth but it hasn't been smooth riding - although I suppose it never is on the first go).

I emptied the cup out last night at around 10pm and slept with it in. Now, it is almost 24 hours later and I can still not get the thing out. I have tried all day, with breaks in between. I have tried showering, squatting, taking breaks, slowly pulling, doing the "hot dog in a bun" method, masturbating, trying to get my finger over the rim of the cup, squeezing the bottom, I ALWAYS BEAR DOWN, and girl ain't NOTHING WORKING. Currently my whole existence seems to just not want me cause now I can't even hardly reach the cup and everything is low key feeling swollen and ok. Please someone hmu cause I just can't even work. Like I can't access my vagina from squatting or any position really (even if I am fully relaxed).

I can't currently go to a doctor cause REASONS (nothing major) and my partner is currently overseas (and is so for the next few weeks whoop) and I ain't askin' no family member because they can't even and they ain't around at the minute so like PLEASE HELP IF POSSIBLE.

I don't want to like cut the whole thing out cause I ain't no surgeon and I don't want to ruin a perfectly good product but like I don't even know.

Try using a spoon. And take it SLOW. The more you try to rush it, the longer it will take.

Thank you! Will try that soon if I can't get into the docs (partner is adamant and trying as hard as humanly possible to get me in haha).

Aww hun, im sorry your having such a genuinely hard time with your cup. Im a relatively new cup user myself so i cant offer too much help unfortunately but i wanred to send you a wee comment anyway until someone who has a bit more knowledge comes along😊The first time i used mine it did suction on too much and i couldnt break it, i felt like i was pulling my insides out, i ended up sliding the end of a toothbrush up kinda over and down if that makes sense 🤔 and broke the seal that way ,then it just slid out. It does sound like if your having that much trouble with this cup that you might need a bigger/longer one. For the next day or 2 after you get it out i would wear a pad to give things a chance too settle down down there especially with you saying you feel swollen. I know its easier said than done but try and relax theres physically nowhere for it too go and the fuller it gets the more gravity will kick in and it will work its way down anyway. Let me know how your getting on xxx

Thank you for posting this - it made me feel like 1000x better honestly. But yes, I will try the toothbrush handle/spoon method later today. I am 99% sure I will need something with a longer stem next time - thanks for the advice! I fully intend to revert to pads until I get the hang of things -outside of my period- and with -less low key stress-. :)

I insert three fingers (thumb, index, middle) and put them on the cup, kinda holding it. THen I press the thumb into the side of the cup to break the suction. It's like I'm holding the cup back into the C shape I put it in when I insert it.

Good luck with this. Don't be discouraged. This happens.
