Hello community
Does anyone faced this problem?
When the cup is sitting inside I start to feel really anxious almost to tears, feels _somewhat_ like panic attack.
I am getting really anxious and shaky.
So it happens pretty often. Need to mention that I've had some successful attempts to wear menstrual cup and I felt ok. I can't tell the difference in insertion process etc.
Same symptoms happened to me when I was using tampons too.

Did anyone experience something like that? What it could be?

2. another question,
I use soft menstrual cups, because I am very sensitive etc. but vaginal walls squeeze it, so it leaks sometimes.
Is it ok? I don't think I can use harder cups though.

I am sorry for any spelling and grammar mistakes.

Sounds like cups and tampons give you anxiety and this could more an emotion than a physical response. I know i‘m more prone to being emotional shortly before/during my period. Yours might make you more anxious. If tampons and cups cause you distress, you shouldn‘t force yourself to use them. That‘s why there‘s different options. Have you tried (reusable) pads or other collection methods that don‘t require insertion into the vaginal canal?

I leak more often than i‘d like but it‘s something i‘m willing to put up with.

Thank you for your reply.
Yeah, sometimes it could be more emotional thing, but sometimes I feel ok and it happens anyway. I want to use cups so badly, eh...
I have some reusable pads, but can't use them outside home. Disposable pads are ok, but they are not as comfortable as a cup could be.

Yeah, it's not that crucial, just curious if it's ok.

Thank you for your attention and response.

To me, it sounds like sometimes when you’re inserting a tampon or menstrual cup, you’re stimulating your vagus nerve and having a vasovagal response. This just happens to some people, it isn’t bad per say it’s just the way your body works.

In terms of if your cup leaking is okay, it’s okay if you are okay with it. For some people it would be a deal breaker but other people don’t really care. It’s completely up to you.

Hm, it sounds as it could be this.
Thank you. I've never heard of that thing.
I googled and actually found this topic: http://www.ourhealth.com/conditions/cervical-conditions/cervix-vasovagal-response
It is some different case (or not?) and my symptoms are less harsh, but I feel and experience something like this sometimes.

Ok, I am chill now (is it the right word? :)) I guess, I am ok with it.

You are an angel

Actually, I am almost crying rn, because now I know what is this thing and how it's called. Kinda relief.
