When removing menstrual cup, I would normally bear down, which led to this topic, will it caused prolapse? I read in a blog, people with prolapse should avoid bearing down, which means bearing down cause prolapse, does it? I have just started using menstrual cup from fleurcup. Advice please.

No, prolapse is NOT caused by bearing down.

I think you have misunderstood what the site says. But if it worries you, use something else instead. There are many reusable options if you don't want to use disposables.

If you have a broken leg, you should not bear weight on it. Bearing weight on your leg doesn't give you a broken leg.

You bear down every time you have a bowl movement, and every time you sneeze or cough.
