I've recentely came across a new cup design and made in Germany (not yet released): the Merula cup.

At first it seemed quite similar to the Femmycycle but even though it has the same globular shape on the outside it does not have  the anti spill rim, so it's not an exact copy and I think it will please those who had trouble with the suction on the Femmycycle. The removal ring is also unique, very soft and flexyble and adjustable in lenght thanks to a ladder design. According to the information provided by de designer the cup will be available in colours: strawberry (pink), apple (green), sun (yellow) and mermaid (blue).

The cup does not have a website yet, but it does have a Facebook page and Facebook group (I have just requested to join out of curiosity).

Does anybody have more information on this cup? What are your thoughts?

Oh, interesting! I does seem to have a higher capacity than the FemmyCycle (38ml vs 30ml). I'm still in search for a high capacity cup that leaves enough room for my dangly cervix and gets me through my heaviest night, so this is something to keep an eye on. I'm just a bit sceptical how well a rim that's not the widest part of the cup works with a tilted cervix.

Looks potentially promising, but that stem is going to be painful as hell for anyone with a tilted/off-center cervix that causes the stem to sit on the vaginal walls.
