hopefully im making this right! ive never posted on livejournal before (i made an account just for this) but i bought a small ruby cup a few months ago, ive been using it for maybe 2 or 3 months now and no matter what i do it doesnt seem to catch everything. i am SURE it is sealed completely, every time i check its opened completely and every time i remove it i need to break the seal. it does catch most of my blood but sometimes (usually) ill get spotting when i wipe and it will be outside the cup.

another issue ive been having is that it always feels like i have to pee. i already pee a lot as it is (i think i have a small bladder) but it seems to be putting pressure on my bladder and i even have had to remove it completely in order to pee once.

also, no matter how deep i insert it it always seems to end up very close to the entrance of my vagina. i have completely removed the stem because of this and tried inserting it multiple different ways. i usually use the 7 fold. if anyone has any advice for any of these issues i would be so grateful. i really want cups to work for me.

What everyone else said: a wider cup will allow the cup to sit higher around your cervix rather than just under it. Say your cervix is around 40mm wide (I don't know if this is a standard width but I just picked a number). A 40mm wide cup won't fit around it so it will sit lower, under it, and not only will it feel like it's falling out your vag, it may also miss your cervix sometimes and cause you to leak. A 48mm wide cup, though, would fit around it, allowing your cervix to chill inside it and allowing the cup itself to migrate a little higher so you don't get that falling out feeling.

My cervix is high but because it's tilted I get that missed-cervix leakage sometimes. Wider cups are a bit more foolproof for me, but I need extreme softness due to my bladder/fibroid issues.

ah i see what youre saying. i assumed mines pretty low on my period? because after posting this i tried feeling for it and i think i did feel it. when im sitting down with the cup in its almost right at the entrance of my vagina but if im standing up that isnt the case. so im not really sure what im going to do. i guess theres no harm in waiting a few months and continuing with the one i have though
