Residual Slobber -- Help?!

Hi! I've been using a menstrual cup for about 5 or 6 cycles now and on this cycle I'm using a Large LENA that I just bought because I thought a wider cup than my Lunette Model 1 would solve the spotting I have. It's not full on leaking as most of the blood is collected in the cup but it is enough to be kind of annoying because I don't particularly like having to wash and deal with stains (I'm using reusable panty liners). I feel like I've tried everything I've read; I've twisted the cup and made sure it was open. I've seen a comment from one user saying how they have never been able to stop the residual slobber, and while I'm not opposed to wearing panty liners as it's a lot better than when I used to wear pads or tampons, but I'd like to know if there was anything I haven't tried that would help me master the menstrual cup.
