Hi. I brought my first cup (Lunette model 1), but I haven't been able to insert it for the past two cycles. I was only able to insert part of it with the bottom and stem sticking out using coconut oil and water. After getting it halfway in, it starts to hurt. It wasn't as bad as it was during my first few tries, but it's still uncomfortable. I also can't push it in any further without the cup unfolding and slipping out. If if helps, I'm a virgin and have a high cervix. Thanks!

Where's it hurting? At your entrance or inside somewhere? Sounds like it may be getting caught on your pubic bone maybe (if the pain is inside). You may be able to dodge it more easily by aiming more towards your tailbone (like they say to do with tampons). I'd also use a fold that allows you to point the folded side down (towards your butt) when you insert--a folded part could more easily get caught on the pubic bone and pop open too soon. Same deal with babies born sunny side up--their faces get caught on the pubic bone sometimes. A friend of mine had some nerve damage for years because he was born that way.

I think it may be my pubic bone as I feel the pain on the inside and not at the entrance. I'll see if using different folds will get rid of the pain. Thanks for the help!

Have you read the Virgins Guide to Cups yet?

Yes I have, but I still haven't been able to insert my cup yet.
