So, I've been using my sckoon for a few days and I absolutely love it! (Still need to trim the stem. But whatever) However, each time I use it I have a tiny bit of residual leaks from what I'm assuming is the blood around the cup that's there when I insert it. I don't really mind it since I can just wear dark undies or use a liner, but I swim a lot during the spring and summer months and I can't risk having any leaks. I am unable to use tampons during that time due to the fact that they are far too drying and irritate my sensitive skin. And it's also just annoying to wear the liners with the cup, since the stem sticks out a bit.

So, is there any way to prevent this residual blood from leaking throughout the day?

I usually swipe my vagina inside in a circular motion after I insert the cup. This way just one or two drops leak onto a liner so I guess they will be washed away with pool water.
Sounds a bit gross maybe)) But I'm used to it, have been using the (same) cup for 5 years.

I've never conquered residual slobber completely (my cervix is too high, so my finger wouldn't even really be able to "swipe" around to every corner blood could be hiding in). The only way I avoid it is for that first day when I insert the cup before my period actually starts. So, honestly, I just have a liner and a really tight-fitting swimsuit. Assuming you don't have a really contagious bloodborne disease that chlorine can't take care of you'll be fine.
