I have seen one other post with a similar issue, but as it was from a while ago and I have some extra questions, I thought I would post again. I have been really excited to receive my Lunette as based on trial and error and some research, I'm thinking it might be my 'goldilocks' cup. I haven't tried it yet, but after opening the package I am a tiny bit concerned as the cup itself has a distinct plastic-y smell (the smell is even almost a bit sweet). From what I understand, silicone shouldn't really smell, and neither of my previous cups smelled anything like this when they were new (I have the Diva and Mooncup UK - currently selling in the MC_Sales community if you're interested). I am kind of trepidatious about using the cup now because of the odd smell. I even ordered a clear Lunette specifically because I wanted to make sure my cup was purely silicone as I am paranoid about what goes inside me! Lol.
The cup arrived with quite a bit of dust on it, as well as some bluish flecks that I'm thinking might be residue from the box (it is blue-coloured on the inside). I guess the smell might be related to the dust/residue? Has anybody else had a similar experience with a Lunette or any other cup? I have heard a lot of great things about the Lunette so I wasn't really expecting it to smell like a 'cheap' cup.
On a kind of unrelated note, I noticed my Lunette has slanted air-holes. I have read about a few other cups having slanted holes, but haven't been able to find anything on the Lunette's holes being slanted; I don't mind, but am just curious if this is a new thing for Lunette cups or if the holes have always been this way.
Thanks for any input! :)
