Does anyone have any tips for the residual leakage with a menstrual cup?

I have used my lunette for two cycles now and I LOVE it! I do have a little residual leakage which seems to just be from what is "already in the chamber" once I insert the cup. Do any of you have any tips for this? (like a little peri-cleanse etc). Really has changed my life! Live in an area where even if you could flush a tampon, you shouldn't because of our antiquated sewerage systems (I used a former diaper pale:) Thanks for any input!
