I've been interested in possibly getting the Sckoon cup, but the sizing concerns me a little. My inclination is to go for cups that are smaller in diameter because I don't really need the capacity and I'm not really comfortable with the idea of inserting something large. I've never had penetrative sex. However, I have a pretty high cervix.

Right now, I use the size 1 Diva Cup, and the length is pretty good. The size 2 Sckoon looks like it's only a little shorter than the Diva, but the size 1 looks a lot shorter. I feel like with the size 1 Sckoon, I'd be at risk of having a hard time retrieving it. But I don't know if the size 2 would be a little big for me. Thoughts? Or should I just steer clear of the Sckoon?

Thanks!

I'd personally steer clear of the Sckoon if you need the stem for removal. The stem is super stretchy and not super grippy and gripping the bottom of the stem will only end in frustration as it stretches so tiny that you lose your grip on it.

If you don't need the stem, or only need a little bit of stem, you'll probably be ok. But going from a Diva to a small Sckoon is a pretty big jump and you'll likely have to adjust your technique.

Hmm. That is a concern, then. I'm mainly looking for softer cups, and now that it's in my budget more, I'm starting to shop around. I've been thinking about the Si-Bell, too, but I'm concerned about that stem since I've read/seen that it's very stretchy and can break.

I probably will need the stem. I have to use my Diva's stem, and I expect I would need to use the stem even more with a shorter cup.

The Claricup is like the Si-bell but a tiny bit stiffer and opaque. It might be less prone to breaking. I've never had a problem with my Si-bell, but l've cut half the stem off, which may be a factor. The Cuplee is also very soft, and lots others that slip my mind right now.

Oh, interesting! I don't know if I'd seen the Claricup before.

The Lena has the Si-Bell's shape with more firmness and more of a stem. I just got mine and haven't gotten to try it on a cycle yet (the suction I got on a dry run caused me to bleed a little bit...but that's why dry runs are stupid). I LOVE the Si-Bell in every way except that my typical removal technique apparently was too much for the stem.

I'm very tempted by the Lena, especially since the price isn't too bad. Would you say it's still on the softer side, overall?

I just recently found this group and am so grateful that it exists as a resource! It motivated me to get back into cups and I'm currently waiting on a large Lena to arrive in the mail.

I know I read somewhere that people thought it was similar to the Ruby in terms of overall softness. I'm just looking forward to something that's a bit shorter and softer than the Diva and way softer than the U.S. Moon Cup that I had in college. Neither of those really worked out for me.

I don't own one, but the Lena is reported to be slightly firmer than the Ruby cup (which is sort of in the middle, flexibility-wise).

I've been curious about Lena - but couldn't find a tag for it... what are your thoughts on it and are there any other cups besides Si-Bell that you've used for comparison?

I was almost unable to retrieve the small size 1 Sckoon cup. I have a high cervix.

But, the size 2 was okay, the stem is thin and strechy, which can be an issue. I always have to use the stem to tug my cups down a little. The Sckoon stems just kinda strech and it takes a little work to make the cup come down a bit.

The small size 1 Lunette is good too, I can still retrieve it.

Yeah, that was my concern! When I saw just how short the size 1 is, considering, it looked like a potential problem. I don't know about the stretchy stem....

I've been tempted by the Lunettes. The colors they have are so pretty! I think my only reservation with the Lunette is that I've heard people describe it as firm, or at least comparable to the Diva when it comes to firmness, and I'm not sure if it would be likely to create the same bladder pressure that the Diva causes for me.
