Confused about placement

Hi there,
After about a month and a half of researching seriously (I'd dabbled before but now I'm diving in!) I purchased my first menstrual cup - a fleurcup. I tried softcups last month as a trial and decided this is definitely for me.

However, even after searching, reading, searching more, reading different guides for virgins, newbies, placement etc, I am still confused. Lots of places say not to trust the diagrams, but no one seems to have an accurate one! So, I've drawn my own little non scientific drawing which combines what I know from anatomy drawings, and what it 'feels' like in my own body. I'm sure it's not accurate, but I'd love some help if someone can make sense of it.

The first few inches of my vagina feel super tight. The pubic bone seems to make the 'roof', and these super tight muscles make up the floor. Beyond this though, there seems to be a 'space,' which is where softcups go in (and then kind of swoosh up behind the pubic bone to be right around the cervix.

So here's my question. I've read lots of people saying the cup should go beyond the pubic bone, but is the whole cup supposed to be up there and sort of turn to face upwards? Where does the stem go then? Does it just poke the bottom of this space? Or should it be mostly in the 'tight' spot with just the rim past the pubic bone? It seem squashed if it stays in the tight part even though it seemed open and unfolded, and even though I have yet to find my cervix after several years of trying in various positions (Can't seem to reach it), the stem was still poking out of my vagina a little.

Here's what things feel like (sitting/squatting position), with the two places I feel like the cup is possibly supposed to go:

So far I've only done a dry run (bled like a stuck pig, won't try that again!) but I'm still confused. Should this thing be going in and turning to face upwards in that 'space'? I'd just love some help.
