I want to try cutting the ring off a cup. So that I don't ruin the cup, I guess I have to leave a little of the ring on each side?

The one I want to try cutting is the FemmyCycle Teen but if you have cut another ring cup, let me know.

I cut the stems off my cups. You can cut it...leave the edges, then file them down with a nail file or sand paper if you want to smooth it out. You can also trim it as short as possible using nail clippers.

Thanks. I was worried it would be different and harder with a ring but I guess not :)

If the ring bothers you, have you tried inserting the cup so the ring faces the other way?

Having owned and used a Femmycycle (old design, regular size) for a year or so...I have no idea how anyone would be able to remove it without the ring. Kuradi's idea seems best, though if the problem is that the ring is actually hanging outside of you, you may just need something even shorter.
