#2
Am I the only person who has to take their cup out to go #2 because with all the bearing down the cup starts to slide out anyway? I can't be the only person...

You're not :) but it does depend on the cup. For me, smaller cups move down a little but dont dislodge enough to leak. But my medium LUB cup that is just above the entrance got a third out when pooping one time, that really surprised me! Its the motion. You can do the same thing with your muscles to get the cup out normally :)

Oh yeah, I have to actually. (Bear down to get it out.)

When I used the Keeper, it wouldn't stay in position with any rectal pressure. Many cups I've tried, easpecially the firmer ones, I had to remove to poo. The large Iris, large Mami and large Si-bell are some of the softer ones that consistently stay in place for me and still allow a bowel movement.

So you find the softer cups actually stay in when going #2?

Yes, but for me "softer" is considerably softer than the Fleur cup. With the Cuplee, Iris or Si-bell type of soft I've not had an issue. Ladycup and Ruby I needed to remove, Sckoon and Mia are iffy. However, as with all cup experience, YAMV (your anatomy may vary!?) =D

No way, I've always had to take it out. There have been a few times where I was in a bit of a more desperate situation but it felt like it was sliding WAY too far down. I had to put my finger in the way to keep the seal from popping and having it fall in the toilet. Even with smaller or softer cups (between Diva 1, Fleur Cup small and large, and MeLuna medium), just for my peace of mind I remove them first.

Interesting! I wonder about the softer cups. I've heard they don't sit right for a lot of people, but I was thinking about getting a MeLuna, and a softer one. I have a diva cup, and it's really not bad, but sometimes I think it exacerbates cramps because it's so stiff...do you find the softer ones move around too much? I guess it's probably different for each person but just wondering. I think I was looking at a medium MeLuna...

The MeLuna I used was the old style, so when they first came out (and that has since degraded so it's no longer usable :() but I didn't find a lot of moving around. The Fleur Cup is softer than my Diva, even after 7 years of using the Diva, but the size difference isn't very substantial. I didn't notice a difference in how much they moved or squished.

I would think that if you're bearing down that much, some dietary changes might be in order. Then again, I've never been able to wear firm cups because of my bladder, so I have no idea if a firmer cup would be more likely to dislodge.

I've actually drastically changed my diet lately...and it's always been that way for me. I'm eating much, much better than I used to, but that part hasn't changed. *Shrug* I think I'll just deal with it :)
