Hello! I am new to this community, nice to meet you all :) I've been heavily interested in menstrual cups, and after much thought, I've decided to invest in one. Today (I am on my period), I tried to figure out the length of my vagina in order to decide the right cup for me. My middle finer, the longest finger, went all the way in without stopping. I don't know if I hit the cervix or not, but I'm assuming I didn't as my finger kept sliding in with no blockage.

This may be an obvious question, but does this mean that I have a long vagina, and that I should get a longer cup? I am 17 and a virgin, with medium flow! Thank you so much! Also, what are some good cups for beginners with my sizes/details? Is softer better, or stiffer better? Sorry for all the questions, and thank you so much!

EDIT: I've come to the conclusion that I may be missing the mark completely.. I cannot seem to find it at all..

Unless your fingers are quite short, not being able to reach your cervix means that even the Diva might be a bit short for you (it is for me, at least my Rainbow cup of the same length is, and I can reach my cervix, barely, about half the time). I might suggest the Si-Bell, Lily, or iCare (which is designed like the Diva in the body but has a much longer stem and is softer). The iCare is a great bargain if you get it off AliExpress and are willing to wait a month for it to come in from China, like $5 shipped, but if you need it faster a lot of sellers on Ebay and Amazon carry them. The Si-Bell is pricier but a really nice, U-shaped cup with a super comfortable and thin stem. The Lily is very different but also a very nice and long cup, I had one for about a year before my dangly cervix started making it less of a good fit than it had been.
Someone is trying to get rid of a Lily on our sister community, mc_sales: (scroll down about 4-5 posts) http://mc-sales.livejournal.com/

FYI if you don't want to wait for shipping from China, here's a 'murican seller (are you in the US?) on ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Reusable-Silicone-Mama-Moon-Cup-Menstrual-Cup-Tampon-Pad-Alternative-Sizes-S-L-/271734973286?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&var=&hash=item3f44aaa366 - make sure it's an iCare though and not the Aneer if you don't want something SO soft that it may not pop open. menstrualcups.wordpress.com just posted a review of the Aneer and noted how it was even softer than the Si-Bell...I love me some soft cups but that might be too soft. In the photo it looks thinner than the iCares on either side of it. My iCare is a bit thicker/firmer than my Si-Bell so this makes sense. For the sake of my bladder I would not go much firmer than the iCare for myself, but I am apparently a weird one around these parts :)

(In case anyone was wondering...iCare/iClean/Aneer all have the same molds and all will be about 83mm including the stem, which is the longest traditional-design cup I know of)
