Hi,

I've been reading up on menstrual cups and I decided to go with Mooncup because from what I had read it seemed to be best suited for me. I tried it this past period and I'm not exactly happy. I now learned that it's too hard (my bladder and intestinal track were not happy) and I need a longer one since I have had trouble with getting it out since it went up very high (my cervix is allot higher than I originally thought, I can't even reach it with my finger). I could not reach it most of the time. Does anyone know a good long and soft cup? I really liked the idea and don't want to give it up since the first one failed.
I am fairly active, I go to the gym regularly if that matters? I'm 25, no children and am sexually active. Any tips are welcome :)

UPDATE:
Thanks to everyone who helped, I got a few knock offs to test them out without breaking the bank. Hopefully it will go better next time :D

There are many brands longer than your Mooncup. Use what you know and like/don't about yours, compare it to the dimensions of other brands at the size charts found at http://sizecharts.livejournal.com/ or at any of the other ones found at the Community FAQ.

For sizes it's indeed super handy, but it doesn't mention softness :(

Figure out which ones you think will fit, then compare the softness of those using others' softness charts. There are many. Otherwise, it would be like shopping for a dress based on material without regard to size.

There are several long, softer cups. Cuplee is popular, NaturalMamma and Gaia come to mind. There are youtubes that describe cup softness, too.

Thanks I'll look into those :)

I love the Cuplee, but it doesn't have a very long stem and might not be long enough for you to reach easily. I think the Si-Bell and Lily are both longer (I don't have personal experience with either). If you're okay with knock-off cups, the iCare is shaped like a Diva with a long Lunette style stem and is one of the longest cups out there. I got one out of curiosity a little while ago and was pleasantly surprised by its quality.

I have no problems with knock offs, thank you for that information :)

The lily cup original is soft and long, one of the nicest silicone I've ever felt out of any cups.

I have quite a lot of cups and the Gaia is probably the softest of the longest cups. It is about the length of the Diva cup but with more of a cup and a shorter stem. I used it last cycle because I was feeling crampy and wanted something very soft. It still opened easily for me with no leaks. :)
