Hey, menstrual cuppers! It's a new year (sorta) and we've got new members! It's really nice to see the community acting as a fresh resource for new and existing cup users.

If I could just ask everyone to take a look at the rules, that would be excellent. That includes new and old members. I've been observing some slippage on related topics and gender-neutral language on the part of both new and old members. The main thing is to keep this a civil and welcoming place for all cup users, so thanks for helping with that!

Thanks for posting this! It's a great reminder for new and old posters alike.

I've been a lurker for a long time, and I've gotten so much help from reading lots of questions and answers from members of this community that I feel like I'm now an experienced user.

This may not be the right place to put this, but I have a request: is it possible to post a direct link to the size charts that kuradi8 so helpfully links to so often (http://sizecharts.livejournal.com/) somewhere in the sidebar? That has been the most helpful resource for me, and the one I've referred to most often (and still refer to occasionally), but I can never find it easily when I need it. It seems like this resource could be more helpful to more people new to the community if it were easier to find.

Thanks!

Undoubtedly yes, as soon as I can remember how to do that! That's a good suggestion, thanks.

About MenstrualCup
Grils!
We all deserve to feel supported and validated for who we are, what our bodies do, and who we love. Personally I LOVE https://www.menstrualcup.com/gb I swear, I feel so much more carefree because I don’t have to stop and change every 4 hours!

Hi. I'm an old member coming back, partly because I need a new cup due to issues and partly because I miss the community. So, *waves*

I am a newly cup user
I have recently been trying these cups but am curious on how I can go to the toilet whilst wearing them. Sometimes it gets tricky to remove whilst I am at school and scared someone will see me. I don't know what to do? does anyone else feel like this? Did anyone else got it stuck in before? please help :)

Re: I am a newly cup user
hey there! do you mean you need to empty out and reinsert your cup during school hours because you overflow it? or do you mean that you cannot actually use the bathroom with your cup in? For the latter, a softer cup may help. (Anything firmer than the absolute softest on the market puts pressure on my bladder so I feel you there!) For the "stuck" issue, getting a cup that's long enough for a high cervix will help, as well as enlarging the anti-suction holes around the rim, particularly if you have a Diva!

Hello. Why have other's posts to the community been approved and mine not? Thanks

That would be because lj has been pants and not informed me there were posts waiting. (We only mod posts with external links.) Fixed.

Would want to try menstrual cups
Hello, I was wondering if you guys can help me.
I've been reading a lot about these cups and would really like to try because of all the many benefits. But the thing is my parents are religious and they think that using these cups is very unorthodox. Also, even though I would want to buy one I don't have much money to buy and if ever I had the funds there are no sellers here in my country, all are imported.

I was hoping if any of you guys have a spare I would gladly accept :)

Thank you very much
ps. I'm afraid I'm not as religious as my parents, and sorry for the grammatical errors (english is not my native language)
