Hi !!
Umm... so I do horseriding and I only just switched to using reusable menstual products (ie I bought a Lunette and some cloth pads).... so I don't really trust my cup yet, and I think the snaps on my pads would be very uncomfortable... wouldn't they hurt?
Does anyone have any suggestions on what can I use, or, if you use pads, what you do so it's comfortable??

I don't ride horses, but tampons, my friend. They're amazing things.

I've never tried tampons... but I want to stay on the reusable side... and there are a couple things I don't like about them...

Perhaps underwear sewn so that a pad insert can go in it? I like lunapanties. http://lunapads.com/underwear

There are sponges that do a similar job as tampons, but I'd just give it a try first, maybe do a test run bouncing up n down on a chair? Lol idk. I dont think there would be any problem with the cup as its all inside you, if its a good fit it shouldnt leak. The pad snaps... Ive never felt them but then I dont make a habit of pounding my ladybits on a period. Tell us how it goes :)

There are wingless cloth pads. No wings and no snaps, just needs snug fitting panties to hold them in place. With wingless pads and insert panties, I wonder if the constant movement and impact will make them shift and move. I prefer period panties. http://periodpanteez.com/ No pads needed because the protection is built in.

Thankyou for all the ideas, but I can't buy panties right now, and I am on my learning curve with my cup... I think I will just try my current pads to see how it goes... :)
I'm just afraid it will break the snaps or wear them down faster in the long run, I do horseriding twice a week...

I'd love to hear feedback on how it goes. My daughter rides as well, and plans to use cloth pads. i hadn't even thought of the discomfort factor of the snaps.

Umm... maybe I will post a journal entry on ''RUMPS ans Sports'' soon,so I will give you some feedback on how it goes... I might be doing a ''pre-run'' before my period with some cloth pantyliners, to see how comfortable or uncomfortable it is....

Ask Bree Farmer from Precious Star Pads, I believe she's done some horseriding in RUMPS.

I didn't know Bree rode!

I haven't ridden on it yet, but I think the Lunette would definitely hold up to the rigors of the saddle. Or you could sit the trot when menstruating?

As for pads, the snaps are pretty durable I think, provided they're snapped properly I don't think they'd be damaged in a hurry in the saddle.

Anyway... I've just had a brainwave. Perhaps wearing another pair of underwear *over* the pair wearing the pad might work? I used to wear spanx to work over my regular nickers (sooo comfortable,) and on my period they kept the disposables I used to use in place, wings closed etc so much so that I actually had a lot more faith in their staying power when I wore my spanx.
