My cervix drops really low on the last days of my cycle, so much so that it's impossible to ge me Eva in. I pulled out a ruler and it looks like the small meluna will be a tight fit. Since the last days of my cycle are the lowest for my cervix I'm hesident to get a stemless one, that said I'd rather get the ball stem instead of the normal stem.

The ball stem may be removed, carefully. I have a soft MeLuna that had a ball stem. I have a pretty low cervix so, after enough confidence built up, I cut the ball off so it wouldn't stick out on the lowest cervix days. For what it's worth, the ball stem was actually a bit larger/wider than the regular stem that I trimmed down to one knob on the MeLuna Mini (now Shorty) I had.

There are side=by-side pictures in the following link of the stem differences: http://menstrual-cups.livejournal.com/3099324.html

I have the ball stem, and most of the time it does stick out, but I've found it doesn't bother me all that much and actually seems to help the cup stay in the right position. (for some reason they want to go sideways on me)

The other option is to flip it inside out, no stem to worry about then.
