I have read through tons of posts about MeLuna's on here, but none are really to the point and what I've read has confused me further.
I just recently ordered a MeLuna soft, medium cup. I trusted that TPE is safe, but after reading that some people experience really bad odours and that they're cup starts to "peel" apart I'm a little concerned.
Does anyone have any advice/experiences to offer? I'm still really excited to try out the cup, just a tad worried.

Many of us use and love our MeLunas. Yes, there have been a few that somehow slipped past their quality control. And yes, TPE acts and feels different from silicone. (Doesn't make it better or worse, just different.) If you don't have confidence in the material, then use your best judgement about whether or not you want to use or continue using that brand. mc_sales is a good place to buy, sell or trade "gently used" cups that didn't work out. There are guidelines and several size charts at the Community FAQ to decide which cup(s) you might want to try next.

Thank you very much! I did use the charts and research, which ended with the Meluna, I'll definitely give it a go and see what I think! After seeing the other posts I just got a little concerned

TPE is a very safe material, as it is also used a lot in medical products (catheters, masks...)
I own 2 melunas (classic small an sport medium) and I love them very much. I do think they have a manufacturing problem, as both of mine had a bit of peeling on the rim. I assume that's where it detaches from the mold. I just filed it a little (with a nail file) and haven't had any problems.

I have a bunch of Melunas and haven't had any problems with them peeling or anything. I do prefer the way silicone feels to the touch, but I love the Meluna sizes, shapes and firmness levels. That said, I also have a bunch of silicone cups, and I love most of them.

As stated above, TPE has been in use in the medical field for a long time, and EU health and safety standards are probably the strictest in the world, but ultimately, YOU need to have faith in what you use :)
