Hi, there! I recently started my slow journey into reusable menstrual products and decided to take the plunge with cups. In June I bought a Mooncup UK but found that it wasn't for me (it was a sucker to get that thing in/out, the suction was SO strong and I found I needed to pee every five minutes) so I was put off for a little while until I found out about the MeLuna Medium Soft cup. I'd also tried the Lunette in the past but found that one to be a little too firm so I did a little research and saw that there was an even softer cup on the market & I thought I'd give the MeLuna a try. So far, so good. I did a little 'dry run' and everything went so much better than I expected. I was all ready for the insertion/removal pain but there was nothing! It was super comfortable and it seemed to open for me right away.

But, being the paranoid person that I am, I'm still wary. I've seen a few people have experienced leaks with this cup, maybe due to it not opening fully or not being in the right position so I just wanted to ask around and see if anyone has used this cup or has experience with it? And if you have any advice for a little newbie like me, I'd be more than happy to hear it!

Will it leak or won't it? I don't know. Will those shoes give you blisters or not? ;o)

I hope you'll find that your new MeLuna fits you better than your Mooncup. But who knows? Maybe you'll try your Mooncup again in a few months and find that it wasn't as bad as you originally thought. You might be able to improve your Mooncup by enlarging its anti-suction holes. And its flared rim will probably soften up if you flex and bend it in your hands for a while.

Your MeLuna also has tiny anti-suction holes -- and probably only 2 of them. Adding a couple more might help. Or maybe you won't need to.

Take a look through http://kuradi8.livejournal.com/ to see if you pick up any helpful hints to make your transition to cups easier.
