Question about a cloudy cup.

title or description

So i left my cup in water all month (whoops...but cant say ive not done it before) and now the part that was sitting in water all month is perma cloudy an no longer as smooth. Almost etched? It hasnt happened any other time i've done it.

What gives? Should i be worried? Should i not use it? It IS like 7 years old, maybe older.

It seems to be inside the cut for me, but it's humongous. About nine times my laptop screen or something like that. Maybe you could resize it.

As for the cup: how long since you took it out of the water?

My clear cups do get cloudy when I leave them soaking for a few days, it usually clears up within hours of air drying.

To resize the pic to fit your screen, try copying and pasting the link to it: http://ic.pics.livejournal.com/le_soleil_noir/1375339/354/354_original.jpg

I've never had this cloudy cup thing happen, though, so I don't have any advice for you!

Hard water residue? A quick rinse with diluted vinegar might help.

I like the vinegar idea. If that does not work, maybe diluted peroxide.

(I have no idea, just reposting the pic smaller)

It has been a few days, how is your cup now?

Woah, sorry about the size of that. On my phone, it looked normal. I JUST resized it as I was finally able to get to a computer (and I could not figure out how to do it on the mobile app.)

I went ahead and used the cup as I needed to. I just finished my cycle and it is still cloudy. I'm going to go ahead and try the vinegar thing and give it a good boil and see where I end up.
