Hi everyone,

I (31, no kids) am fairly new to this community. I bought a Mooncup UK six months ago and "we" got along right away (no troubles inserting or removing, no leakage)! I was so happy to have discovered a more comfortable, affordable and sustainable (not necessarily in that order) solution to my period. Recently, I decided to get another cup and bought a MeLuna Classic Medium, ball stem (similar size as the Mooncup UK). I used it on a couple of dry runs, but it has been no success so far. I had a lot of trouble popping it open, and when it did pop open, it was either too low (and I could feel it sticking out), or too high (and it hugged my cervix so tight that I had a hard time removing it)... Does anyone has any advice on this? Or should I just accept that the MeLuna is not my "goldilocks" cup and try a different brand (if yes, which one)? Thanks!

If you can feel it, it's possible that the cup is just sitting at an awkward angle. Or that it wasn't open fully so that there was still some suction.

Have you read my Answers to Common Questions at http://kuradi8.livejournal.com/ yet? Also follow the link at the paragraph about suction.

Yep I checked them out when I first joined or a little before :)
I just think too deeply into things; I probably need more sleep too. lol

Thanks! I may go check it out again when I'm fully awake.
Your answers are very helpful/insightful and appreciated by me :)
