My diva cup is about six years old now. For the past couple of weeks, I've been carrying it around in my backpack in a cloth bag. Today I took it out and the inside was damp! It felt kind of oily to the touch. Does anyone know what could have caused this? Should I just get a new cup?

Just wash it well and see if it happens again.

yeah I needed it today so I just gave it a real hot bath first, although I'm still a little weirded out because I have no idea what caused the moisture :/

Do you use coconut oil as lube? Sometimes it dries up and leaves gross-looking white flakes on my cups, but in hot weather maybe those flakes would melt into an oily residue.

no, I don't put anything like that on it. I pretty much just wash it in hot water. I did wonder if maybe the hot weather had something to do with it because it's been pretty hot here, but I couldn't come to any real conclusions.

I was about to ask about heat and humidity. In the past mine has felt a little "sweaty" even in its bag, in those circumstances. If it seems fine it probably is. Just don't put it in a plastic bag to store.
