Hi everyone! It's my second period using my diva cup, but my first time using it throughout my entire period (I was halfway through my period when I received my diva cup the first time I used it). I've noticed that once my flow stops being heavy that I leak more on to my back up pad/underwear. Does this happen to anyone else? Any idea as to why this happens? I've tried pulling my cup lower but it ends up riding up anyways. Sometimes I've noticed that the holes will get blocked by that more stringy type period blood towards the end of my period, could that have anything to do with it? Any advice on how to avoid this leaking? I use a triangle/seven fold if that's relevant in any way (I find it to much easier to make sure the cup is open using this fold). I really want to stop having to use pads now that I have the cup, so I'd really like to control this leaking a bit more. I'm also considering cloth pads but I'm not totally into the idea.

Yep, the clogged holes are probably the problem. When holes are clogged, the air displaced by blood bubbles over the top of the cup, taking fluid with it. You can enlarge the holes with a scrapbooking punch.

There are lots of good cloth pad vids on YT with ideas on top fabrics, bottom fabrics, and even patterns for you to make your own.

Thanks! I'll try enlarging the holes.
The more research I do on cloth pads the more excited I am about the idea. I found some helpful videos and I plan on making my templates tonight and going out to buy some fabric later this week :D
