Hi All,

I am using the Fleurcup; large size (47/no kids). This is my first cycle using it and while I love it, I feel some very minor discomfort. This is day two and I didn't feel any discomfort yesterday. I'm also attempting to discern whether these are normal cramps or a combination of cramps and something new that I need to get used to. I do take Midol and the discomfort remains.

Like you, I'm learning as I go and I'm fairly certain that I have it in correctly, but I feel some pressure. Like it could be pressing against my cervix somehow OR maybe it is too large OR I could have it in incorrectly OR this is just how it feels.

Maybe take it out and reinsert?

Your collective experience is much appreciated!

Try readjusting. Grab the base, squeeze it to release suction and pull it down a bit. Then let go and kegel it back up. Maybe it did settle uncomfortably around your cervix. Or you could just be getting used to it.

^^ This. If it's in right you won't feel it. Give it two or three cycles before deciding it's wrong for you - learning curve. :)

Thank you both!

It's probably a combination of a particularly BLECH day and getting used to the cup. It's normal. There's an old wives' tale about drinking extra water before and during a period to ease cramps. That usually works for me. Will it work for you too?
