Quick question... What is the difference between the material MeLunas are made out of (TPE) and silicone? I've been wanting to try a MeLuna but I've only used silicone cups so I'm not sure what to expect. I've read up a little about it but would love some personal opinions, like which you prefer or any pros\cons :) Thanks!

Chocolate or vanilla ice cream? Some people like both. If you're curious about a MeLuna, then get one. Check mc_sales for a gently used one if you don't want to pay full price.

I have 3 silicone cups and a MeLuna. No difference in quality but they are all uniquely different sizes and shapes. And varying stiffnesses (due more to shape than material.)

TPE is a porous material -- silicone isn't. Over time it can/will retain bacteria etc more readily than the nonporous silicone. It tends to be more flexible. No phthalates in TPE or silicone.

That said, I don't have any personal experience with the MeLuna specifically : ) Hope this helps!

Since its a porous material, will it not last as long as a silicone cup? Thanks for the reply!
