I was finally able to insert and use the cup yesterday!!! At the end of the day I tried removing it. I could easily get a finger inside to break the seal and grab the stem to slide it out. However, in the process of sliding it out I felt pain. I'm not sure if it's because it was hitting my pubic bone or something.

Am I supposed to fold it while it's inside? To prevent it from hurting? What am I doing wrong?

I think a lot of people are able to pull it out without folding it, but that was painful for me (hymen issues maybe, the jury's still out on that). You can try using a finger to push one side into something like the C fold on the way out. This is a lot more comfortable for me, but the downside is it can cause some mess if the cup is very full. Hope that helps.

What are you doing wrong? Nothing. You're just in the dreaded learning curve and you're figuring out what removal method works best for you. Check the replies under the "removal" tag for lots of good advice. Most importantly: relax, TAKE YOUR TIME and don't forget to breathe. :o)

I agree with all of this. It was just one removal, it doesn't mean you are doing something wrong. It will get better, just go slow and keep on keeping on!
