Hello

I just recievd my new large green LuvUrBody cup in the post. It looks great! And not as big as I had feared :) It`s soft and very pretty. Almost makes me want to leave it out when I have guests! And the instructions that came with it actually makes totally sense for a change. Makes me wonder if the manufactures have been hanging out here in this community picking up tips? So everything is good, expect for the fact that when I opened the packaged, the cup was "dusty", like tiny pieces of cardboard or lint on it. The cup itself looks fine. I will of course wash and boil it before I use it, but I was wondering if anybody else had experienced the same thing when receiving a new cup?

That's normal, the bits are from the box or pouch and are nothing to worry about

Thanks :) was just wondering

Boil it? Why? The only thing on there might be packaging or shipping dust. How clean does a spoon have to be before you'll stick it into your mouth? How clean do your fingers have to be before you use them to handle your food?

If you don`t boil a new cup, then that`s fine, but it makes me more comfortable doing it, considering I don`t know if the cup has been handled by humans hands before/while it was packed. Plus most of the manufacturers recommend doing so before using it the first time. But why are you bringing this up and making a big point of it? It was not why a made this post. If it was because I used the phrase "I will of course wash and boil it before using it the first time" then I apologize and shall refrain from doing do in the future

OK, go ahead and boil if it makes you more comfortable.

What what it's worth, I always boil all my cups before first use. Always.

Do you have any other cups that you could put the green one next to for a photo shoot? I find it intriguing, though I could never use that size myself.

I`ve got a couple of other, a small and large fleurcup and a small and medieum meluna. It`s a little bit bigger than the large fleurcup. I`ll try to take some pictures tomorrow :)

I hope I can use a cup that size. I would really like the extra capacity, but we`ll see how it goes next week.

I'm excited to see pics too! Especially comparing it to a Lg Fleurcup. Can you compare capacity between them too? I don't need to see a pic, but I'm just curious if it holds more too. thanks!

Do let us know how you get on with it! I have a diva cup (large) that always pressed on my bladder. My firm small yuuki rides up so far it almost turns sideways and my large soft yuuki still presses on my bladder. I'm very curious about this cup, how easily it opens, bladder pressure etc etc. Would love to hear what you think of it once you've used it :)

Have you checked into the Si-bell and the Natu? The old Natu, which is still sold online at some places, is even a tiny bit softer than the Si-bell, and the Si-bell is already the epitamy of soft!

There is also this awesome video comparing the degree of softness between various cups:
http://youtu.be/u5BVTA-Z_i0

It's in italian, but easy to undestand the captions: taglia: size, morbido: soft.

I second luceafara's suggestion for the Si-Bell and/or Natu. The classic Meluna pressed on my bladder so much that I could barely pee with it in...the Si-Bell is so comfy that a few times I've forgotten I'm wearing it (and I rummage all around my drawers until I think to, uh, check myself...)

good choice, I have one in red. And I think mine has dusty too when I opened the box.
The LuvUr it´s a perfect cup for heavy periods.
