Hi All,

I've been going back and forth on whether to invest in a menstrual cup for a few months now and I've finally decided to go for it! I'd love some advice on which cup to get.

I'm 19, 5'2". My cervix is about 50 cm in. I've not given birth, but am not a virgin. My period is usually mildly heavy for the first 3 days and then really light after that. I've used tampons for years, but never use anything bigger than a regular. I was looking into a MeLuna cup (not sure which size yet), but I'd love some more suggestions and comments.

Also (this may be a silly question), I'm a dancer and a yogi and I'm a little worried about my cup slipping or something while I'm moving. Any reassurance anyone has would be awesome.

Take a look at the charts and decide what you think will suit you best.

As for the yogi thing, I have had no problems with my cup while doing physical activities--including yoga, swimming, and trapeze!

I haven't had any issues with the cup and any kind of physical activity.

I'm a big fan of my Fleurcup. It's very flexible, which is good (imo) for a beginner. The Diva is a longer cup, imo. I was able to use it once I completely cut off the stem, but the Fleurcup is a bit shorter and much more comfy for me. I tried a Ladycup and I hated it. It was very rigid.

I'm thinking you will probably need the smaller sizes.

Hi there,
I'm the same height as you, but older and have 2 children (c-sections). I started with a medium classic meluna with ball stem. It was great but a little hard to retrieve at times. I now use mostly a small meluna with a normal stem as it's easier to find, or a large meluna on my heavy days. The large is longer so the ball stem is easier to grab, but is wider in diameter so can be a bit uncomfortable sometimes

I second the Fleurcup recommendation. They have a sale until 1/31 use coupon "fleurcup" to get 5 off, so very small investment in all.

I also like to use my classic Melunas when I work out. The soft Melunas leak a tiny bit when I go running, so I would definitely recommend either the classic Melunas or the Fleurcup. My Meluna stem of choice is the ball stem, and the minis are absolutely amazing for my needs.
Meluna also makes a sport version of their cups, which I have not had the guts to try out. It must be hard as rocks, I figure.
