I am a young virgin and this is my first cup, I have a size one lunette clear and I was just wondering if it is too small considering that I find it very easy to remove and break the seal. I horse ride and had a riding lesson on my first cycle using the cup and had no leaks. The only thing that prompts me to wonder whether my cup is too small is when swimming water always ends up filling the cup up. I have only used my cup for one cycle so far but have been swimming with it in multiple times not on my period, always the same result cup filled with water.

Thanks so much,

Sammi xx
EDIT: Thanks so much it doesn't leak at all in other situations to I think its the right cup for me. I may be one of those lucky girls that gets water in their cup during swimming. And thanks again guys.

Are you sure it's water and not (normal) cervical mucus? Water shouldn't be getting up into your vagina while swimming.

I'd worry less about the water in the cup and focus on fit/performance. If you don't have trouble with leaking or removal, I wouldn't sweat it.

Water DOES get up into the vagina during swimming with some women. I don't know why it happens, but it's quite common, especially if you dive/submerge your entire body while you swim. So if that's your only problem, I wouldn't worry about it, just don't forget to always rinse the cup after swimming. But if you start getting leaks in other situations, then a bigger cup might be a good idea.

I don't get water in mine, but several people in this group have said it happens to them so I think it's fairly common. It sounds like it's a good cup for you, you just need to empty it as soon as you've finished swimming so it doesn't overflow.

If the Mods haven't asked you to do so already, please "edit tags" and remove FAQ from the list. That makes this post show up at the Community FAQ, which should be for general information for everyone, not your personal experiences or questions. THANKS! :o)

Sorry! I didn't realise that! I have removed the tags but it doesn't seem to be saving the removal of the tags! Will try and get it fixed ASAP.
