I think I found my "Goldilocks" cup, finally! Or, as close to one as I'm going to get!

I'm 5'3", 128 lbs and I have menorrhagia (very heavy period). I experience maybe 2-3 days of heavy flow and I definitely needed a cup with capacity and comfort. The Large Fleurcup finally did the job! I didn't leak at night (but did wake up in time to feel bubbling so I was able to get up to empty it. I slept on my back and briefly on my side.) I spot a bit throughout the day, but I guess that's normal. I use a back-up reusable pad. No worries there. (I love Pink Lemonade's minky line. Easy to clean!)

This time around, I no longer experience surprise gushing or leaking due to a full cup. Now, I can kinda feel a slight bubbling which alarms me enough before an overflow happens. I find that I have to empty it once every 2-3 hours on my heavy days. 2-3 times a day on lighter days.

I cut off the stem for comfort and I love the size of the body! It's rounder in the base than other cups I've tried (Diva, Yuuki) which seems to help during times my cervix might be sitting in the cup.  I love that the cup has large air holes -- I assume this helps with the helpful bubbling warnings I get which has prevented leaking so far. :) And another 10 points for the prominent finger grips on the base. Very handy for pulling the cup out. The shape of the rim is rather nice, too. It's seamless, sloping edge definitely feels more comfortable when inserted. It doesn't feel like it scrapes the sides of my vaginal wall.

I especially love how soft it is. It's squishier than a Diva. My only complaint is that it seems to be stubborn at popping open when I use the punch-down method, but it's nothing major. It eventually does with a little push & pull action. Since it is a size Large, I DO feel its pressure on my bladder, but I'm willing to look past it because it keeps my flow in check.

So, for now, I'm happy! Thanks!

I do have my Yuukis for sale if anyone is interested. --> http://mc-sales.livejournal.com/151914.html

I love my new large Fleurcup, too! (and to think I was a happy Diva user for so long...little did I know how much better it could be!)

Large Fleurcup is definitely a great cup for me. I've sanded the grip rings off, and since then it's my ideal cup.

Glad to hear its working so well for you, I've ordered one and got notice today it's waiting for me at the post office. Which fold did you find to work the best for you? The punch down is my go to for my hand comfort...I've had carpal tunnel issues, and even after having the surgery to correct it, I don't always have the strength in my hand to keep the trickier folds contained for insertion with my Diva. The Melunas aren't as hard to hold, but they don't open easily for me, which is why I made the Fleurcup purchase. I liked the capacity of th XL Meluna, when I could get it to behave, and I'm hoping the Fleurcup will work as well for me.

After I posted this, I looked up other fold types and found that the labia fold was great too! It pops open easier for me and is easy to hold upon insertion. Though, the point of insertion is wider than the punch down fold version.

Funny you mention carpal tunnel issues because I have tendonitis in my hand. Pulling the cup OUT creates pain in my fingers sometimes!! So I know where you're coming from. I think the punch-down and more so the labia fold have had the least amount of strain for me.

As for pulling out, I just have to bear down to bring the cup closer to my fingers in order to make it more comfortable. Good luck! I hope the Fleurcup works out well for you! I had a really comfortable month. ::happy dance::

Congrats to your perfect cup!
I love my (small) Fleurcup as well, and it's one of my favorite ones. I also cut off the stem and filed down the grips and stem rest. There are days when I feel it slightly more than others. Flipping it inside out totaly helps on those days, though I am not sure why, as the rim is not very pronounced.
Give it a shot and see if that does the trick for you.
