Hello! This is my first post here. I've been *trolling* for about a year. Okay, so I have been using the Keeper moon cup size A for a while now. I love everything about it, except, on my 2 heavy days I have to wear a pad and change it every hour when I have enough time to do so at work. So I bought the firm and soft yuuki because of the capacity. Problem, I got the firm to seal one time. The soft yuuki, I don't know what's going on with that, it doesn't ever feel like it seals. The firm yuuki, it sits fine, but all the flow goes into the pad and literally 1 drop in the cup. It's frustrating. Any advice? Suggestions? I have tried several different body positions to insert. Squatting in the shower next to the toilet, relaxing, flexing. I'm really only familiar with the c-fold, and the 7-fold. At my job I have to rush in the bathroom, unless I'm on my lunch break. If I can't get the yuukis to work look for them in mc sales with in a few months.. Also is there any cup similar to the keeper moon cup with a larger capacity?

SamIAm I saw that you scored a xlmeluna on the mc_sales. I would love to hear the results of the capacity. :0)

If your flow is going into your pad, the cup is not centered around your cervix (o). If you haven't located your cervix, you don't know where to aim the cup.

I spent over two years with hit or miss results using cups because I didn't know to find my cervix and make sure the cup centered around/under it! Similar to holding a glass under a faucet, if it isn't directly under the flow some may go in but most of it won't.

fleur
the fleur cup maybe can help you.

I don´t like fleur cup,so hard for me..., but it´s similar to the mooncup and have a big capacity.

I have a blog where I compare my cups, maybe you can get information from there.(it´s in Spanish)

Try different folds, and facing the folded part differently, down instead of up, etc. My favortie for super soft cups is the half diamond fold. That post above links to a youtube video for many folds.

But mostly ? find your cervix. And make sure the cup sits (o) around it. Sounds like it's been missing the cup entirely. the large Yuuki is one of the highest capacity cups, and most "large", high capacity cups have a similar width, so I don't think buying another cup will solve your problem.

Thanks. I actually got the large firm yuuki to pop and seal with the punch down. Today is day 3: playing with the lrg yuuki firm. It's getting better. I'm wondering if I was just too rushed on Saturday ( the first day I used it) like my body was like Haha. The height of the crimson Tide, Battle you must.

My cervix sits really high up. I'm 5'9, my fingers are long and my middle finger barely touches my cervix. I think it's more that my muscle are making it shift shapes. My gym has also told me that my cervix is really small and deep, maybe that's why I have had luck with the keeper moon cup, and not the yuuki, the diameter is a little larger. I will continue to play around. I just really need the capacity..

The Yuuki is actually wider and close in length to the KMC... the design (and low holes) of the KMC is what gives it a rather low capacity. The only possible alternative inthis range would be an XL Meluna, but looking at the pics it doesn't look like much of an improvement : http://menstrualcups.friendhood.net/t224-meluna-comparison-photos

Or, if you're willing to take a jump in the unknown and ignore all cervix-fitting and popping requirements, you might be interested in the femmycycle : http://menstrualcupinfo.wordpress.com/about-femmycycle/

great news!!
I got the large yuuki to work!! In so stoked! It was a learning curve. The yuukis have to be way up there. My moon cup US has to sit low. Thanks for the help ladies! My lighter days I filled 10 ml in 5 hours!! I can't wait to measure my heavy days!! Lol
