Have any of you heard of this one, the Lybera menstrual cup from Italy. I've had a look on their website and it's made in Italy from platinum silicone http://www.lybera.it/
here is their promo video http://youtu.be/ueDi6CqplQc (tempted to sigh at this point!)
The dimensions are:
Small - length 45mm x 42.5mm (capacity to the holes 18ml / rim 24ml)
Large - length 45mm x 46mm (capacity to the holes 20.5ml / rim 27.5ml)

I like the platinum silicone for cups!
Another cup with a spiral ridge on the stem.

I also like the way the woman stands, like an Y ;o), on the photo of the site, and the redish colors chosen too.
Now am gonna try and understand the Italian text from the site.^^
Grazie for this information, Teresa x

Thus this is the 4th cup from Italia, right?
After the Si-Bell, NaturalMamma and Mamicup..
Oh! USA and Italia are active in the cup field.

Hum Czech Republic too : Lady, Yuuki, Gaia

Looks like a good option if you have a really low cervix (esp if you can trim the stem)...but of course they show the cup being positioned really low, as if that's going to happen unless your cervix is way down there. lol d'oh.

And, dumb question...what exactly is "platinum" silicone?

platinum silicone
The Si-Bell (or also named Natu or Amulette) and Iriscup are made in this type of silicone, too. Basically, if I got it right, it might be an even better quality silicone on some levels than the usual medical grade one.^ It's particularly resistant to tears and to very high temperatures. And is treated (cured?) with platinum, vs. peroxide for other kinds of silicone. Here is a quick rubric about its advantages here on the Natu site = http://www.natulovesyou.com/natu_menstrual_cup/why_nat%C3%B9_menstrual_cup_.html

And you’ve got some technical info, thanks to a link given in the first comment on Obsidian page for the Iriscup = http://menstrualcups.wordpress.com/2010/05/23/iris-cup/

I personally really like this type of silicone. In particular, it's often easier and quicker to rinse than other cups. And, the surface of the material feels very sweet, 'downy'. ;o))

Re: platinum silicone
The (old) Natu is a bit different from the Si-bell: thinner walls and thus softer, so not the same product under a different name. The new Natu is entirely different, see Italian review:

But I agree, I LOVE the feel of it. I wonder if all the cups that feel like peach skin are platinum silicone, then?

Re: platinum silicone
Whoa, thank you so much for this, Luceafara ;o) !
I'd read on an Italian blog there was a difference indeed -was it in the feel of the silicone precisely^, the type of surface?- (hm no, maybe it was about the softness ;) ) between the (old) Natu and the Si-Bell. But then I was said they sounded to be the same cups..
And now, the Natu's stem has changed and there are fine ridges on the base, in particular ahh. Good!

Now I wonder even more hee if the Lithuanian Amulette looks more like the Si-Bell or the Natu? ;)

Oh no, I don't think the peach skin cups are all platinum silicone. Well the Lunette is 100% "medical grade one", for instance.
And the Iriscup which is also made of platinum silicone actually is smooth, close to the Lady -- but, it also has a sort of 'downy' feeling. ;D

Do you own both an old Natu and a Si-Bell ?^^

Re: platinum silicone
And I also wonder if the Natu cup was and still is made of platinum silicone ;)...

Re: platinum silicone
Yes, I have both, the old Natu and a Si-bell. Sorry, should have posted this link:
It's a quick comparison with pictures. The Old Natu and Si-bell look so similar to each other, that you wouldn't know there is a difference unless you hold them side by side.

Per the Italian review, I think the new Natu is now a bit thicker walled and maybe more similar to the Fleurcup.

I'm not familiar with the Amulette, but will go check it out.

Aaaaaaah that video...!
That's so italian... but very daring too! and well, true.

Now I'm tempted to share it with my italian friends... :P

Not a big fan of the commercial.

Like the commercial, but ommitting the pad with wings would have been more believable.
