So im a virgin and plan to stay that way till marriage, and this might sound kinda stupid but I don't really wanna insert anything bigger than the average penis width(or diameter I guess is more accurate--just how big like around it is)till after im married and having sex...so I was just wondering how cups compare to penis size? Like I have a small diva now and I was thinking about maybe trying a large fleurcup and xl meluna but idk about the size of them for this reason(and also I just generally am not quite sure it'll fit, but that isn't too big a concern lol)

This is impossible to answer because penises come in so many different widths ;)

That's true. lol But I was just wondering if people could answer based on personal experience. lol

Echoing what the first two comments said about penis size varying.

But, for the sake of anecdotes... I have a small Divacup, too, and to date have had four different penises inside me (is there a weirder way to word that, lol). I'd say one was slightly wider than the cup, and the other three were about the same width or slightly smaller.

Keep in mind that inserting a penis and inserting a cup are pretty different, though. Assuming you're turned on during sex, and not while inserting your cup, the penis is probably going to be much easier. I was having sex before I started using a cup, and I don't feel like sex stretched me out and made cup insertion any easier, personally.

Sex doesn't "stretch you out" neither do cups. Being tight is not actually a thing, and even if it was, that wouldn't be a good thing, neither for cup use or for your future sex life : http://www.scarleteen.com/article/advice/a_few_choice_words_about_tightness

Cups are soft and flexible and will mold to your insides to create a seal. Penises are not. Cups are not sexual and you're not actually "enjoying" them in that way. But to answer your question, the average condom is design to fit up to 52mm diameter, so that's more than any cup currently available (which go up to 46-47mm).

It's not a fair comparison because cups are folded to a much smaller size when inserted and many squish/fold to remove as well.

The small Diva you have now is 43mm in diameter. The large cups you're considering are only 3-4mm wider. That's less than a quarter carat (4.1mm) diamond. ;o)

(Edited for carat size.)

In your experience(if you've used small and larger cups, of course) does that make a difference in fit? And in getting them in and out?

If you're comfortable inserting and removing the cup you have, it won't be harder, just different.

Compare the dimensions and capacities of the cups you like to the cup you have at http://sizecharts.livejournal.com/ or any of the charts at the Community FAQ. Then compare side by side photos of the ones you think will fit/suit you to pick a shape that you think would be most comfortable.

If you're worried about breaking your hymen, then I'd say cups are a bit risky. They have the possibility of tearing your hymen.

The rest of the vagina is stretchy, so once you remove the cup, you tighten back up.

I'm not the least bit worried about that. lol I think mine is already broken(its at least stretched)anyways so its a non-issue. lol

So what is it you're worried about? It would be easier to answer your question if I understood it better.

I guess im just concerned about getting used to the feeling of something bigger and then if the guy was smaller he wouldn't be enough...but I guess since id be folding the cup to get it in and out that probably wouldn't matter/make a difference... lol

That's not really a problem, for several reasons:

- Penis size is something you mostly notice with the front part of the vaginal canal, near the entrance.
Your cup sits in a further part, that doesn't have many nerve endings anyway.
- It's perfectly possible to enjoy intercourse with a partner with a smaller penis, after having had sex with someone with a larger one. The vagina adapts. It doesn't have a memory of its own.
- For most people, penis size is not what gives them the most pleasure anyway, and not all of us actually prefer larger ones. Seen as a tool for giving pleasure during intercourse, a larger penis is not inherently better than a smaller one.

I don't think your worries are silly or weird, but I do think you can let them go :-)
